F3: Tuukka Taponen joins MP Motorsport
Tuukka Tapponen will continue his Formula 3 career in 2026. It was announced today that the Ferrari Driver Academy member has moved from ART Grand Prix to MP Motorsport.
In 2025 the 18-year-old Finn finished on the podium three times. His best result was second place in the Saturday sprint in Monaco. At the end of his debut season Tapponen scored 67 points and finished ninth in the drivers' standings.
Tuukka Tapponen: "I am very happy to join MP Motorsport in my second season in Formula 3. It’s great to have my plans for the future confirmed so early. That means I’ll have productive winter work with the team and the Ferrari Driver Academy. We will work together to prepare as best as possible for the 2026 season.
MP Motorsport is one of the championship’s leading teams, having finished third this season. I look forward to becoming part of their family and building on that success."
