Aston Martin did not deny the rumours about Horner.
Andy Cowell, the head of Aston Martin, did not deny rumours of a possible collaboration between the team and Christian Horner. Speaking to the press in Singapore, Cowell left the door ajar to the possibility of working with the former team principal of Red Bull Racing.
When directly asked whether the team was in talks with Horner, Cowell replied: "As far as I know, Christian has taken a time-out. He's probably spending time with friends and family. But he loves this sport, and I wish him all the best for the future."
When pressed on whether he could officially confirm that Horner will not join Aston Martin in the future, Cowell replied: "I think Christian's record speaks for itself. He's a great fighter, but it's for Christian to decide what he wants to do next. Maybe he'll want to leave the sport and do something else. It's all down to Christian, isn't it? We have a strong, young team, a great base, and we're only looking ahead."
