Frederic Vasseur: "The track was a bit damp. It happened during the first rain. Lewis went into the corner a little wider than on the previous lap. Now we need to find out whether something happened to the car, but I don't think that's the case.
From the start of the weekend Lewis had been quick; he and Charles were running at the same pace. At that point in the race he was catching Russell. He had managed to get back into contention after two difficult races before the summer break, but of course this is not the result we expected.
