Mark Webber: There's still a long way to an Oscar.

The victory in Zandvoort was the ninth of Oscar Piastri's career. With that tally he has equaled his manager, Mark Webber. With nine rounds to go in the season, Oscar leads Lando Norris by 34 points in the drivers' standings, but Webber urges not to celebrate Piastri's title prematurely.

Mark Webber: "I don't often give interviews about Oscar, but today is a great day for Australian motorsport. Daniel Ricciardo has had wins, so have Jack Brabham and Alan Jones, and now Oscar has succeeded at an early stage of his career. He has worked very hard and deserved the result, but his team did an excellent job too.

I'm very happy. We often joke with each other, and now he has as many wins as I do, and that makes me very, very happy. I hope he continues in the same vein.

As for the title, there's still a long way to go. We have the race in Brazil coming up, where it might rain, and races in Singapore and Azerbaijan on street circuits, where anything can happen.

Of course, as they say in cricket, it's better to have runs on the board than not to. He has to score points every time there's an opportunity. This year Oscar has already dropped points several times, but not through his own fault."
