Gasly called the rumors about the Alpine contract with Bottas "noise".

Pierre Gasly does not believe that Alpine F1 would benefit if his teammate were any experienced driver, such as Valtteri Bottas. Talks about the Finnish driver's potential contract with Renault's factory team are already underway, and neither Valtteri nor Toto Wolff deny this.

This season, the Finn serves as Mercedes' reserve driver, but Wolff admits that Alpine's interest in Bottas has been growing recently.

"I don’t think everything is going exactly that way," Gasly shared with the official F1 website. "I believe there has been a lot of noise about it. It seems to me that I demonstrate every weekend what results can be achieved behind the wheel of our car, and I handle my tasks well on Saturdays.

But it’s difficult because the results mid-pack are very close, and we are at the back of this group of teams. There will always be some noise, especially considering what happened at the beginning of the year, but I think ultimately we just need to concentrate fully on our work.

The season will be long. We don’t have the best car, and we’re not receiving updates, but we all have to unite and focus on solving current tasks and trying to achieve the maximum possible results."

However, Bottas emphasized that all discussions about his potential contract with Alpine are only preliminary.
